Omg I'd go mad! ...after reading the comments on this scrap i was wondering, is your hubby as talented as you? Have you always been artistic or is it a skill/talent you developed when you were older?

I think someone was speaking of their hubby, not me ;) but my kids are, my son likes to write and is quite good at it and little sis well she's a wild painter =P

Always, realism has always been natural for me and I think that's why I enjoy working abstract more.

My husbands a computer nerd and he has a theory this is faked through a filter? Did you really do this by hand?

I would think it would be more even if done by computer, maybe, I am not real coumpert smart, how would you do this with one? I can never figure out how peole paint with some of those programs let alone draw.
I have some other *dot* style things and a bunch of other stuff done in this style but with other objects as it base and some tile/plate mosaics (marbles and coins and other things too) :)

Hey sis, i know what you were speaking about i was a bit computer art bothered to, but then i met an incrediable artist, i saw he put just as much time and effort into his online pieces, So i guess i came to appreicate it a bit more. But i still am not even attracted to most digital art cause people take a photo, do some minor manipulations and call it art. When the painters spend their weaks and months trying to perfect an image in their mind, onto a canvas. And you know, i dont know much about the computer jazz either, i have played around with some filters, (which is as easy as selecting the area and pressing a button) granted maybe i am not giving it as much appreciation as that "art" diserves. Anyhow, im all about the traditional art. And something you said about "the craft being more important then the outcome" I agree, i have this saying ive always stood by, and that is. I paint for the process not for the outcome. :)

I like some of the computer art I see from a visual stand point, I am just so *I have to put my hands on it all over it in it* that a big part of me doesn't get it (the process mainly).
I would much rather run a table saw then a program and throw a filter over a lens befor the photo is taken (swranwrap makes for some cool effects when shot through  as does jello) :lmao:

I was in you gallery for a bit the other day and didb't get a chance to really look, the site seemed to be having problems with displaying pictures, silly site :shakefist: but man with almost what 9 million things on here it's got to be hard to keep up and running all the time.

Well, if you do get into my gallery, take a look at colored wings, I think thats the closest to my "old style" which reminds me a bit of your style. I know still very different then your work indeed, but i just use to do allot of pen work, but feel in some mad love with painting and have been getting more into themed introverted peices and seperated myself from images/designs like i use to do.
Anyhow im not sure if i have already told you, but one more thing here before i go to sleep! i love your energy. You have some serious freaken patience. I get board with projects fast cause i have such a busy mind wanting to do so much. But you have this ability to stick with it, get things done, BIG things done. Its explosive. What a talent to be able to show people who you are with images. It all tells a viewer a bit about you. Which exceeds the dandy lions and painted vases if you ask me.
